Services Offered
Private Case Management and Advocacy:
Are you overwhelmed by service coordination and paperwork that comes with special education services? We can help! We provide an objective case manager that is able to understand the needs and goals of the family and work with the school and other service providers to achieve these goals. The case manager is able to attend school meetings and other appointments to relieve stress from parents and caregivers and allow them to focus on their relationship with their child. Other elements of case management can include recruitment, hiring and training of home support staff, coordinating staff schedules, identifying other local resources and grant writing for service opportunities.
Home Staff Training:
It can be overwhelming to have to hire and train support staff while trying to manage a family, a household and often a full time job. We can help! We work with families to customize a training program that meets the needs of individual families. The program can be implemented by the family after it is completed or we can help to train the staff after they are hired. Training materials can be altered at any time and are a great resource for other family members that may be less familiar with a child's needs and help them to feel empowered and informed.
Do you need help finding the right staff to care for your child or family member? We can help with the recruiting, training and management of a home care staffed program! We can screen candidates, provide initial training programs and offer management services to protect the integrity of your relationship with a staff that you need to trust! Call us for more information and we'll design a customized package to meet the needs of you and your family!
Respite Supports:
Our respite services are one of a kind! We spend our time engaging each child in activities and adventures, while making sure that tasks such as homework and house chores are completed as well. This can also include any home to school or behavioral carryover as well. Our staff are carefully screened through background checks and training before working with any child.
Consultation services for family or caregivers:
Often, families face challenges that are specific to one area- struggling with a particularly limited diet or refusing an activity such as transitioning between activities. Bright Beginnings offers short term consultation to work through the challenging behavior and offer family training to implement beneficial strategies.
The focus of our home training service is to support family members and other providers that may be in the home, such as respite providers or child care staff in best supporting the development of the child or addressing a challenging behavior. We work closely with family and staff to develop solutions and strategies to support their successful relationship with their child.
Community Programs: See calendar of events for upcoming programs!
* Parent and Caregiver Training Workshops
* Support for Community Integration and Transition Planning
